National Maritime Museum

The National Maritime Museum implementation included both a bespoke Collections Online Website (Gooii) and a CIIM processing, validation and augmentation layer communicating with MIMSY XG. Many of the CIIM sharing and linking modules are also implemented, these include user tagging, user created collections, linking to the Aeon special collections management system, linking to Worldcat and linking to the image purchasing site.

The CIIM is also used to power the Compass Lounge kiosks (and Compass Loung online), the Ship Plan viewer and plan chest in the Sammy Ofer wing with additional context specific enhanced media and text. Most recently the augmentation interface has been used to enhance and re-describe a selection of objects for their mobile learning project to be displayed on tablets within the galleries. Data is made available via OAI, OpenSearch and SPARQL.
